A Birthday Tale

Once upon a time, in a land far away,

there lived a Prince, who loved to play.

On the grand snowfields,

and sandy beaches, too

He liked to have fun

As did an Ogre (but what can you do?)

He’d ride his bike,
travel far and near.

He went to the city,

But the Ogre appeared.

He’d go for a swim.
The water was great.

Then the Ogre came in
and wanted to play

He went to the forest,

“At last, some peace”

But the Ogre still found him,

Put him into the trees.

It was time for goodnight

To sleep on the bed

But there was no peace,
just an Ogre instead.

So he went to his Mother,
and asked what to do.

“You’re so nice with others,
try to play with him too”.

So he went to the Ogre
Gave his coat a tug,
“We can be friends!”
And gave him a hug.

They played at the beach

And went to the pub

Relaxed in the forest,

Swam in the hot tub.

The Ogre was happy,

The Prince had a new friend,

And Birthday wishes to him,
from Uncle Glen.
